I have this problem too: in simulator 14.0 crashes while on iPhone with iOS 14.0 works fine... so, a simulator issue

Bug (?) still present on iOS 14.0.1; I resolved by copying pages from protected PDFDocument to a new PDFDocument and using the new one

Still crash with Xcode 12.0.1...
