False "Cool Down" / Overheating Alert in Cold & AC Environments (iOS 27 / iOS 27.2 Beta)
Title: False "Cool Down" / Overheating Alert in Cold & AC Environments (iOS 27 / iOS 27.2 Beta) Device: iPhone 15 Pro (A17 Pro) OS: iOS 27 / iOS 27.2 Beta Body: I am reporting a persistent software sensor calibration bug specific to the iPhone 15 Pro. Issue Summary: The device triggers a false "Temperature / Cool Down Required" system alert specifically when moving into cold or air-conditioned (AC) environments, while operating 100% normally in warm ambient room temperatures. Key Observations & Version Testing: Environment Trigger: The thermal alert appears strictly upon cold transitions (micro-condensation/NTC sensor delta drop). Hardware Verification: I downgraded to stable iOS 26, and the issue COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED in both hot and cold environments. This confirms the physical NTC thermistors and hardware are fully operational. Regression: Updating back to iOS 27 and iOS 27.2 Beta immediately brought the issue back. It seems the NTC sensor readout logic / thermal governor algorithm in iOS 27 incorrectly registers sudden cold temperature drops as a thermal anomaly. Please flag this for the thermal QA team for the next iOS update.
