I guess we'll find out when the beta comes out, as there aren't any public resources on this API yet. Either way, if using the model isn't possible, I guess apps could make use of Apple's CoreML Stable Diffusion implementation.

Comment on Is the issue of code-theft via decompilation or reverse engineering common for Swift iOS apps? And can I protect a small portion of my code?

I just realized that this might be a reason why certain apps stop working when transferring your data to a new device - even though these apps are copied, keys stored in the secure enclave aren't transferred

Comment on Swift Student Challenge requires Swift Playground (.swiftpm), minimum OS setting not available.

Pretty late to the party, but you can also open the swiftpm in Finder, then control-click > Show Package Contents. Then, you can manually edit the Package.swift file included in your swiftpm.

Comment on Metal Integration with SwiftUI

As far as I'm concerned, Simulator isn't a virtual machine per se (it's a sandboxed macOS app simulating iOS & iOS apps). But yes, I'm not exactly sure how / if Metal works in Simulator; I'll have to test it.

I think they're reffering to the paid Developer Program membership, but they they do not need to register for the paid Developer Program in order to take part in the challenge.
