this was not fixed still after 7-8 months? I bought a brand new iMac 27" 2020 i7 back in May and right out of the box it started to crash, I spent about 3 weeks chatting on a daily basis with apple support. I even tried reverting back to previous OS Catalina, was still crashing. Eventually they told me to pack the computer and they'd send me a new one, which I did.. took about 3 weeks before the new one crashed again. Twice since last week but still a pain, it's making work pretty stressful!

I am having the same issue, I would've thought that after 6 months it would be fixed? I get random crashes, sometimes while I am away from the computer, everything goes black and it restarts with an error. Apple "experts" are worthless, I mean I run the same stuff that I used to run on my 2017. My iMac is brand new, bought about 2 weeks ago and it started the day I took it out of the box. This week is doesn't go black, it randomly takes 5 minutes to open a simple file (talking less than 1mb) or go through finder to get a file.. meanwhile I can't even prompt Force Quit.
