Oh fantastic! I'm delighted to learn that local notifications should persist after an app update. Thank you so much. My belief that scheduled local notifications were deleted after an update came from a user's feedback and something I read online. I'll check other parts of my app to determine whether other parts of my code could create this behavior (I'm definitely NOT changing the app's bundle ID). It's also possible that there was never a problem and I was misinformed. Thank you again.

Please see my post below - unfortunately, there's definitely an issue somewhere that means that, at least in my app, previously scheduled local notifications are not delivered after an app version update. I welcome your input about what might be going on!
