I am wondering whether this is a software (Ventura) issue or hardware (the Magic Keyboard)

Touch ID has returned!! I have no idea why or how this happened but using an app that requires a password entry offered me Touch ID. I then went to the System Setting app and the Touch ID controls were now available to me. This happened a few days ago while still in the previous beta. Most peculiar.
