The puzzling thing is that this also happens when I archive a release build (i.e., Deployment, same as I would before uploading to the app store). When I then run that, it follows the same path where the AppTransaction result is verified. As I understand it, this is the same executable that runs when downloaded from the Mac App Store (and then, say, distributed from there). Hence my confusion because it doesn't seem to check if a given copy of the application has a valid purchase/receipt.
