Reply to Serial Communication Application
Hi, I came across this discussion and I have a question for @DTS Engineer regarding the last answer. Would it violate App Store policies if I develop an app that uses CoreMIDI to communicate with a non-MFi accessory that I am currently designing? Specifically, my accessory connects to an iPhone 15 (or later) via USB-C and is designed to receive MIDI messages from the app in order to display text on its screen. Since the device would be MIDI class-compliant, I would be using CoreMIDI for communication. Would this use case be compliant with App Store guidelines, or could it be considered a misuse of CoreMIDI? Thank you for your guidance!
