unfortunately it has not fixed it for me. Was your latest an upgrade or a clean install?

"Allow accessories to connect to Mac" is only an option on LAPTOPs and not iMac or Mac Studio :-( https://support.apple.com/en-nz/guide/mac-help/mchlf779ae93/14.0/mac/14.0

even with "Allow accessories to connect" set to any option in the dropdown, it doesnt work still.
