This fixed it for me too. I guess it makes sense that the SMC needed a reset.

Deleting and re-downloading the iOS Simulator runtime for 26.3 ("iOS 26.2 + iOS 26.3.1 Simulator") does not solve the problem for me. I do not see how to download the beta iOS 24.4 RC for Simulator. Shouldn't it be an option in Settings -> Components -> Add Platforms?
