Did you update to Xcode 26 beta 2 already? I had a similar issue on beta 1 and on beta 2 it is now resolved.

Having a similar error (but with a different package) on Xcode 26: unsupported configuration: the aggregate target 'OpenAPIGenerator' has package dependencies, but targets that build for different platforms depend on it

The error you pasted here is exactly why the URL won’t open from the shield action extension; the system does not allow to open URLs from background processes. A user pressing a button in a piece of UI that is owned by our app should be allowed to open the parent app without bringing up any security or privacy concerns.

Hey Jothilakshmi! We are observing a similar issue since iOS 17. Unfortunately, nobody at Apple seems to care, this issue is still unresolved in the latest iOS 26 beta 2. It is unclear if there is actually still somebody from Apple working on this. This is the feedback I have received from Apple: There is private API to do this (and it works) But you will have your developer account banned when app review discovers this. There are apps on the store using this private API for many years – without consequences. I would recommend to wait until there’s an official API (maybe next month at WWDC??)

I have just verified that this bug is still persistent on the latest iOS 18.5 beta.

Hello, I am sad to announce that the bug is still present on iOS 18.5 beta 1. does anyone know when will this finally be addressed? it’s been a year already since this bug has been introduced. here is my feedback: FB14082790
