Reply to Summary of issues encountered with the Screen Time interface
We’re experiencing similar heavy issues with the Screen Time APIs. Feedback requests have been sent to apple years ago, but they dont fix any of them: FB14082790 FB15079668 FB16249607 FB16121372 FB14237883 FB15500695 FB17272792
eventDidReachThreshold method is automatically triggered under the iOS 18.5 system version
Reply to Issue with Universal Links and App Extension (ShieldAction Handler)
Family controls impose security restrictions that prevent them from directly opening URLs, particularly when the application is not in the foreground.
Thanks for your feedback! Could you elaborate exactly what privacy concerns this addresses? I can’t think of any. A user pressing a button in a piece of UI that is owned by our app should be allowed to open the parent app without bringing up any security or privacy concerns.

Reply to Can FamilyControls ApplicationToken or CategoryToken expire? If yes, how to detect and handle it?
Hey Jothilakshmi! We are observing a similar issue since iOS 17. Unfortunately, nobody at Apple seems to care, this issue is still unresolved in the latest iOS 26 beta 2. It is unclear if there is actually still somebody from Apple working on this. See these forum posts for reference: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/758325 https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/732845 https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/756440

Reply to How to open parent app from `ShieldActionDelegate`
company is now selling this exact functionality as an SDK
Is the "Open Parent App" functionality included – without using a local push notification? For them it’s easy to distribute private API because they don’t have to deal with app review or are risking their developer account from being banned. This is the feedback I have received from Apple: There is private API to do this (and it works) But you will have your developer account banned when app review discovers this. There are apps on the store using this private API for many years – without consequences. I would recommend to wait until there’s an official API (maybe next month at WWDC??)
