I’m curious what you mean with that. im also sometimes under the impression that my device is cursed when it comes to screen time, because there are so so many bugs. But then again, it’s not just me: we get user reports every day with complaints about bugs related to the Screen Time API. Unfortunately this is still unresolved on the latest iOS 26.3 beta. fingers crossed for iOS 26.4

hello, unfortunately until today the “all apps except“ API is exceptionally broken and unusable. some time excepting an app works, but it’s very unreliable in behavior. we have reported this issue to Apple multiple times, but so far they have not acknowledged neither have they addressed this bug. here are my feedback numbers, feel free to cross reference them in your feedback reports: FB20694446 FB15190710

I think there are always ways to go around limitations even if your app is able to enforce them. There are so many tutorials on TikTok etc on how children can trick apples screen time tech. their frameworks are fundamentally rotten that make it very easy to go around.

Thanks a lot for confirming that this is currently investigated! Can you say when this will be addressed? I have reported this horrible regression in iOS 26 beta 1 in June 2025. It’s kinda sad that this didn’t seem to have any priority for Apple to get addressed before the public version was released. In 3 months this bug report will be one year old. This has just happened again for me recently on the latest iOS 26.4 update. My radars on this topic, feel free to reference them in your feedback requests: FB18997699, FB17272792, FB19018706 I had initially reported this to Apple on iOS 26 beta 1 in June 2025, it’s really frustrating to see that this has not been addressed before the public release of iOS 26 – and we’re facing the same issue still 10 months later…
