Thanks for the response Quinn! I'm trying to develop a network extension for MacOS with logic primarily implemented in a Objective-C compatible programming language. Either an App Extension or a System Extension but the App Extension seems easier to setup in theory as it doesn't need to be in /Applications and I don't need to disable system integrity to turn on debugging. I've been running into a lot of the types of issues covered in the article you've shared with me.
