Ok, I think I figured it out. It seems like Xcode 12.0.1 has a general problem with git and "ssh://user@…" repos. Neither can I use any of the commands in the Source Control menu nor can I add a dependent package. …waiting for a fix… Best Roddi

still the same in Xcode 12 b3. Unfortunately this problem also exists for Swift Packages which make them unusable for me. It is super frustrating and Apple does seem to care.

APFS shows weird amounts of free space that you actually do not have. Look in Disk Utility.app to get an accurate reading.

Same for me. I have now three irrepairable APFS disks lying around waiting for the engineers getting their act together. That is more trashed disks in 5 years of APFS than in the 25 years or so that HFS+ is around. HFS+ was always salvagable somehow if there was a problem. APFS? not so much. What a poor performance on Apple's part.

The correct team is still missing in my Xcode prefs. All the tricks above didn't help. Apple is fast asleep…
