Hello, I'm building an iOS music quiz game. Players hear a song and answer a question about it, so the song itself is the content of the question, never background music. Each answer screen names the song and links to it on Apple Music. Non-subscribers would hear the catalog 30-second previews, and Apple Music subscribers the full songs through MusicKit (ApplicationMusicPlayer, with standard playback controls). Guideline 5.2.5 says previews "may not be used for their entertainment value (e.g. as the soundtrack to a game)", and the MusicKit terms say not to monetize access to Apple Music. Two questions: Is a preview that is the subject of a quiz question (not a soundtrack) an acceptable use for non-subscribers? Can such a game be a paid app or offer In-App Purchases, as long as the music is only previews or the player's own subscription? Any pointer to the right documentation or team would be appreciated.
