This bug still persists today, though I'm glad to see that wrapping my sheet view in a NavigationView works in the mean time.

This problem is still persisting to this date. Your solution still works, thankfully, yet I'm surprised that this bug hasn't been addressed yet. Did you get any helpful responses to that bug report you filed?
