I got the same error after trying to pair a series 3 following a factory reset of the watch. Unfortunately, the iPhone hard reset didn’t work, but after days of trying to figure it out, I finally got somewhere. All I had to do was remove all backups under SettingsGeneraliPhone StorageWatch. No more error after that!😃
