Found the solution: Search for "EXCLUDED_ARCHS" in "project.pbxproj" file. If you see a line like EXCLUDED_ARCHS[sdk=iphonesimulator*]" = "i386 arm64" remove it. This will also solve your "laggy simulator" problem.
