Comment on Xcode 26.4: Regressions in Intelligence features
Worth knowing: Xcode 26.4 sometimes breaks the chat output. You'll see the three pulsing dots for minutes at a time with no output and you'll think that the AI is broken/hung. In reality, Xcode is just broken. If you restart Xcode, you'll suddenly see a WHOLE BUNCH of text in the chat window that was hidden before. Xcode is just a bad app. Your best bet is to quit and restart it before any working session; never let it sit open overnight, etc.

In general, the only way to get something actually fixed in Xcode is to email Ken Orr. Feedback Assistant, like Radar before it, is just a blackhole where reports go to die.

While it may be the case that switching Xcode versions triggers OAuth expiration, it's definitely not limited to that. Xcode 26.4 is the only version of Xcode installed on my Mac and I have to constantly sign out and sign back into Claude.

Is anyone on the DevTools team looking into this stuff? 26.4 is a MASSIVE regression in AI usability. Is it possible to just push a 26.4.1 that rolls back the changes to the AI interface to that of 26.3?
