I also have a problem with this. One of the key value propositions of my software is that the end customer do not need to install the app in order to receive the service. Floating banner is very misleading, doesn't fit into the concept of app clips and should be optional.

I had the same problem, and It has finally resolved. I changed nothing in my configurations or bundle, just waited for a couple of days. I think it takes a lot of time for Apple's CDN to propagate changes when the App Clip is released for the first time.
