In the past I've created https://github.com/cutelyst/firebase-qt and since qmake didn't support Pods I downloaded the framework directly from Google. Figuring that Firebase-CPP-SDK from Google was just a wrapper for the Java and Object-C implementations took quite some time... Still now I'm pointing it to CMake (see wip branch) and now that Android works I'm left with iOS and got to the same problem as you, so I'll try to again not use Pods :(
