receivedTurnEventForMatch giving stale data
In my turn-based game, I receive GKListener event receivedTurnEventForMatch and decode the match.matchData. On occasion, the matchData is clearly stale and is from the previous turn. If I call the MatchMaker ViewController up and select that same match, the data is not stale, so it's not a matter of not calling endTurn. I have tried both loadMatchWithID and loadMatchesWithCompletionHandler after receiving the receivedTurnEventForMatch, but the data is still stale. Advice?

Turn-based Matches and App Versioning
In my turn-based app, existing matches created with a newer version (5.1.2) are not showing up in the MatchMaker ViewController (or even when I call GKTurnBasedMatch loadMatchesWithCompletionHandler) on a device running version 5.1. (Newer version is run from Xcode download to device). Note that in AppStoreConnect, I have the earliest compatible version set at 4.5. This was not a problem before using the (now mandatory) SDK 26 (Xcode 26.4 to be exact).

MatchMaker VC not showing existing matches after upgrade.
Updated my app to include turn-based matches. Beta testing through FlightTest and all was well between iOS 18.x and 26.2 devices. One beta tester upgraded to 26.2 during beta testing and now when the MatchMaker VC is opened, it does not show existing matches. Worse, he can create new matches and play his turn, but the new match won't even show up in MMVC, even after opponent takes turn. My app has been reviewed and is ready for release, but I'd like to know how to solve this before I release. He has tried re-installing the app, including an updated FlightTest version that is the same as the about-to-be-released reviewed version.

Game Center and Push Notifications
I have used the Push Notifications Console and verify that the test notification reaches my device (it says "not necessarily the app"). However, GameCenter notifications are not reaching the app. When one device passes the turn, the turn is successfully passed as seen in the Matchmaker VC. However, the app does not get the turn pass notification whether or not it is running. No banner appears if the app is not running (but it does when using the Push Notifications Console). Please advise.

iOS Matchmaker ViewController Info Button
I'm updating an existing distributed game to add turn-based matches. When the Matchmaker ViewController Info Button next to a game is pressed, the results vary: iOS 15.x - Button under avatar says "Accept Invite" or "View Game" (depending on if invite has already been accepted) iOS 18.x - Button always says "App Store" - I assume that means it would lead one to the App store to install the game. Both devices (iPad 15.x and iPhone 18.x) have the same version of the game installed. The results are the same when running in the simulator. When the game is released, I assume this button will work properly, no?

Game Center When Opponent Declines Game
Turn-based games: 2 players When an opponent declines a game in the Game Center MatchMaker VC, that player sees that they quit, but no message is sent to the listener about that fact. For the person who started the match, their MMVC shows it's their turn again. Why doesn't Game Center end the match?

Turn-Based Game and Invitations
I have two devices (iPod, iPhone), each using a different Apple ID. I have an existing game to which I'm adding TBM. When the iPod invites the iPhone, it sends an iMessage invite to the iPhone; when I click on that message, I get "Retrieving", then Game Center in Settings is opened, not my App (same version installed on both devices). I start my App on the iPhone and that match is not shown in the Matchmaker View Controller. When I send an invite from the iPhone to the iPod and I click on the iMessage invite, the app starts but the match isn't listed in the MatchMaker ViewController on the iPod (but is on the iPhone). In addition, when I click on the info circle on the iPhone, it who's the two players and "App Store" under the Game Center name. However, When I do the same on the iPod, it has a "Play your turn" there. Any ideas?

UIScene Storyboard - Main and Main_iphone
Under threat of future crashes, I'm adding support of UIScene to my existing apps. Each app has two storyboards - Main for iPads and Main_iphone for iPhones. Pre-UIScene, all looks great. With the addition of the Application Scene Manifest, the iPhone versions of the app are using the Main storyboard instead of the Main_iphone storyboard. Do I need to add an item to the plist for this other storyboard? At what level in the plist is this added? Another Scene Configuration? Another Window Application Session Role? Another Storyboard Name?

TN3187: Migrating to the UIKit scene-based life cycle
I'm running Xcode 16.3. Below are the instructions from TN3187: To configure your Info.plist for scene support, you should add a UIApplicationSceneManifest key with a scene configuration: Open your Xcode project. Select your app target. Navigate to the General settings for your app target. Enable the “Supports multiple windows” checkbox in the Deployment Info section. There is no checkbox - just an arrow that goes to the info tab Edit the Info.plist file and add a UIApplicationSceneManifest key [example follows] Where is the Info.plist file and how do I edit it? - none shown

Achievement Banners Not always Showing
When running on my iPhone SE3 under IOS 18.4.1, achievement banners show as expected. The same code running on my iPad Air2 under IOS 15.8.4, achievement banners do not show, but they are accepted (as shown in the GameCenterViewController). The banners also don't show when running the simulator under iPhone 16 Pro Max under IOS 18.2 or simulator under iPhone SE3 under IOS 18.3. I haven't tried others. [Note that I clear the achievements each run during test so that I can duplicate this]

Testing Achievements - Apple Documentation out of Date
New to achievements. I added them in App Store Connect and want to test them. Apple Documentation says this: "Before you begin testing your GameKit configuration, you need to enable Debug Mode. In Xcode, choose Product > Scheme > Edit Scheme. From the Run configuration, select Options and toggle Enable Debug Mode. To begin testing your achievement configuration, open the game Progress Manager. In Xcode, choose Debug > GameKit > Manage Game Progress." Sounds easy enough, but there is no "GameKit" under Debug in Xcode 16.2.

GameKit Configuration File - Apple Documentation out of Date
This is the first time I have tried adding achievements to my games. The online documentation says: "Before you can access achievements in your code, you can configure them in Xcode and sync the configuration updates you make with App Store Connect. Begin configuring achievements by creating a GameKit configuration file. In Xcode, choose File > New > File from Template. Select GameKit File, and click Next. In the sheet that appears, enter a name for the configuration and click Create." Sounds easy - except Xcode 16.2 does not have a GameKit File as one of the Templates. Please advise on how to proceed and it would be nice if the documentation were updated.

Gamekit Achievements Won't Unhide
Added achievements to my approved app. Added them for the next release version, which I am running in simulator. When I look at the Achievements page, I can see that there are 17 Achievements available (correct), but they all show as hidden, despite checking the "No" box in App Store Connect.

Game Center Notifications Stopped Working
I recompiled my turn-based app to the (now mandatory) SDK 26 (Xcode 26.4 to be exact), and Game Center is no longer sending notifications of turn changes or game invites to either my iPad Air running 15.8.8 or my iPhone SE3 running 26.4.2.

Xcode 26.4 Simulator Won't Load Game Center Data
For apps that support Game Center, calling presentViewController on a GKGameCenterViewController yields no data for leaderboards or achievements, regardless of which iOS version you're simulating (works fine on device, but doesn't work in simulator).
