Thank you. Did this and the feedback I got was that the GPS cable may be getting some interference from other electrical components. I’m going to have to have the installer take another look at this.

Follow up - The issue seems to be avoided if I wait for the truck GPS to connect to the alpine system before plugging in the phone. I live in a semi remote area and usually have to drive to the front of the neighborhood before the system announces “GPS connected.” When I connect my phone and CarPlay engages the phone switches over to the truck GPS without any issues. On the other hand, if I plug in and initiate CarPlay before the GPS connects, the phone can’t switch correctly to the truck GPS. I don’t know if this is a CarPlay bug or if it can be fixed, but either way I have a solution.
