So it is not related to the beta at all. I did a clean install of 26.4 and even the latest sequoia in separate volumes and got the same thing with mail. I think it is because I activated the deframentation option in apfs with diskutil. After having remove the defrag option and reinstalling everything. I no longer get any error.
