AVCustomRoutingController and background audio
Hi, I have implemented a custom audio streaming protocol in my iOS app using AVCustomRoutingController to select my custom device. Playback and streaming works. However when the app is the background, it gets killed in a couple of seconds, like if it was not playing audio. My app has the Audio/AirPlay/PIP background mode and can play audio from the background when the route is a normal AVRoute from the system (Speaker/AirPlay/Bluetooth, etc). I tried starting an AVAudioSession (playback category, activated, with and without MPRemoteCommandCenter bindings and with and without populating NowPlayingInfoCenter) was hoping that if that is active, my app won't be killed. But it seems like it does get killed if the app is not producing audio using AudioOutputUnit/AVAudioEngine/AVPlayer. How does one supposed to stream audio from an app in the background using a custom protocol? The infamous "let's play silence to not get killed" solution works, but obviously that can't be the answer.

Crash when selecting a lot of cells in UICollectionView
Hey, I am implementing a "Select All" functionality and experiencing a crash because of running out of memory when having a lot of cells. Calling .selectItem(at:animated:scrollPosition:) on 10k cells need 1.5GB and 20k needs 7GB (crashes on a real device). After selection is completed, memory goes down to normal levels. This broken both on iOS 18.5 and 26.5. Minimal example: https://github.com/martonfarago/collectionViewMemoryTest Is this a know issue? Is there another, maybe more efficient way of selecting all cells? M

UIDocumentPickerViewController does not allow picking folders on connected servers on iOS26
Hey there, I have an app that allows picking any folder via UIDocumentPickerViewController. Up until iOS18 users were able to pick folders from connected servers (servers connected in the Files app) as well. On iOS26, the picker allows for browsing into the connected servers, but the Select button is greyed out and does nothing when tapped. Is this a known issue? This breaks the whole premise of my file syncronization application.
