Thank you Quinn for this extensive guidance. I'm collecting some related data from some of my experiments and also going through some of this linked documentation and I'll respond in a day or two to each of these topics.

I also can't seem to find a thread in this forum which was opened by some other user reporting this similar issue with a (real world) Java application. I will see if I can locate it.

I'm happy to help with this investigation and curious to see what the root cause ends up being.
