specifically, we create NWConnection(to: ..., using: parameters) where parameters is NWParameters(tls: nil, tcp: tcpOptions) and tcpOptions are: self.tcpOptions = NWProtocolTCP.Options() self.tcpOptions.connectionTimeout = 5
