I experienced the same limitation. It seems to be Apple's intention that no security devices can be controlled. Once again an unnecessary limitation.

Same problem here. Strangely Ventura 13.1 Beta 3 (22A5295i) fixed the problem and now the public version 13.1 (22C65) reverts back to the broken widgets. Other thread with same bug: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/721711
