this is the first and last time i buy a mac . I bought a macbook pro at 8/2020. one of the reasons i bought it was b/c it had a 6 hours battery life that was needed for me for meetings all over the day after an upgrade to big sur battery went from 6 hours to 3 hours which made my laptop non functional for me took it to the official apple lab and it was reported as without an issue - they installed big sur from scratch but still no solution. stil 3 hours or less before battery is dead I called apple - i have a recording of an apple senior rep telling me that big sur is a problem and they know about it fr many different case . he recommended to me to downgrade the os if i want to keep the charge for (for good!) - this is a 6 months old Mac !! and they expect me to stay with an old OS for good. Is this a joke ? i need help take this mac from me or replace with a newer model such as the M1 which i understand has a better battery otherwise ill have to go to court - this is outrageous. a laptop that cost 1300$ ! in the meanwhile i am plaiing to report this in the local forums and consult with the designers community as there are thousands f users that suffer from the same issue
