I don't want the advantages of MDM, I just want associated domains that are behind a VPN to work on ANY device (that includes devices that are not under a MDM profile), but it seems that in order to do that we are forced now to use MDM. I just wanted to confirm that with the changes in iOS 14 the only option for distributed apps is to use "managed" associated domains and therefore, this scenario, will never work for an AppStore build publicly distributed.

There's no information anywhere about this ".symbols" files and the information that they contain. Can they be used to symbolicate a crash (if DSYMs are not available)? what format do these files have? Using "strings" over a ".symbols" file, I can see that they do contain symbol names, but the file is not supported by any of the usual tools (dwarfdump, otool...)
