it does work, it just not the magic I was promised in the video :) where it would resolve at runtime what the concrete type of Animal it is, and invoke the appropriate generic feed method.

ahh thanks for the tip, it does indeed work in a command line tool, I was trying it out in a playground, where it fails to compile
