I get the same crash when deleting items from the template code. I also filed a FB for it.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm running into the same problem. I can render a view when the dimensions are small, but when it gets bigger the render fails. I'm trying to render an area with Core Data values, and it fails if I use the newer ImageRenderer API.
