fyi: created ticket for what looks like a similar issue with FocusedValue https://openradar.appspot.com/FB9703748 14th October. However, Apple's Feeback Assistant has been reporting Recent Similar Reports as "None" and usual locations have been quieter than I would have expected for such a blatant issue, was beginning to think problem my end. Anyway, I'm going to point Apple at the post here and there's another I found that might be similar ( https://openradar.appspot.com/FB9163579 ) Thanks for posting.

Appears fixed in Xcode 14.0 beta 6 (14A5294g) when running on macOS 13.0 Beta (22A5342F). Test code from https://openradar.appspot.com/FB9703748 appears to be working far as expected. Recent experience with FocuseValues on macOS hasn't required hacky work-arounds to make it work reliably. NB: Afraid unable to test on earlier versions of macOS, so problem may - or may not - remain on older versions than Ventura.
