I am also trying to achieve this same format currently, but running into the same limitations and not finding a workaround. Hoping there is an iOS 17.x/shippable solution.

Thank you for the reply! Your points are correct, the notification shows on the device when sent via FCM and CloudKit dashboard, but not from the edge function. I am using the same exact device token for targeting the device in both FCM and CloudKit dashboard as I am in the edge function, but the edge function is the only one that does not work (but receives a 200 OK for the request). I will check out that post and continue reviewing and investigating the request in the edge function

That worked for me too. Unchecking "Execute in parallel (if possible)" and restarting Xcode immediately resolved the issue. Thank you @hogman78 !
