Reply to safari-web-extension-converter not working with manifest_version 3
Hi there, I am the developer of the Turn Off the Lights browser extension (Safari extension), and you can only write with manifest version 2 for all platfoms. That includes the Safari web browser. And Manifest v3 is only now available in Google Chrome (stable). https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Add-ons/WebExtensions/manifest.json/manifest_version And Apple will not discuss here the further plan to support Manifest version 3. However, they did announce that they joined the W3 Browser Extension Community Group for browser extensions. All web browsers are in the same group to standardize the browser extension platform (Google, Microsoft, Firefox, and Apple). https://www.w3.org/community/browserext/ Thanks, Stefan

That is the group to standardize extension on all web browsers (that include Google, Microsoft, Firefox, and now Apple). https://www.w3.org/community/browserext/ Thanks, Stefan

Reply to Safari Extensions for iPadOS
Hi there, iPadOS 15 is still in beta (currently beta version 7). When the stable iPad OS 15 will be released in the fall (that according to Apple WWDC2021). However, you can already try the new Safari Web Extensions on your iPad today. See the public TestFlight, such as the most popular Turn Off the Lights Safari extension, that can dim the website and convert all websites in Dark Mode. Or you try the many other Safari extensions Zoom, Aerial View Tab, Overamped, Web Mute, etc. See on Reddit iOS Beta: https://www.reddit.com/r/iOSBeta/comments/om1q3k/list_of_safari_extension_on_testflight/ Thanks, Stefan

Reply to Safari Web Extension: This extension can read ... including passwords...
Hi there, That is because you are using the "tabs" permission. This message is also visible if you have a Chrome/Microsoft Edge/Opera/Firefox extension. Thanks, Stefan Browser Extension Developer
