FWIW, I have raised the same topic on the Swift Forums and I got this reply from one of the engineers who are working on Swift. https://forums.swift.org/t/weird-crash-involving-swift-packages-and-generics/64521/5 While not being a perfect solution as there are some trade-offs to be considered, it has helped us fix the issue at hand.
