Is there a way to resume failed Simulator downloads? I have a slow and unreliable internet connection, and have tried many times to download the 14.0 or 14.1 Simulator, they always end with a "lost connection" error. Is there a way to resume a failed download, or download them using a bit-torrent protocol?
I had the same problem updating Xcode itself, but eventually found a screen where failed downloads could be resumed (I think I had to do a system update of a component). I have not found any alternate screens for downloading a Simulator.
My download speed is about 1GB every 2 hours, so a 4.5GB Simulator would take 9 hours. There is usually a temporary disconnect every hour, so that is when the download dies.

The AVReaderWriter was last updated in 2016 for Swift 2.3. I am a newby, and have been unable to upgrade or convert it using the Xcode tools. I tried going from Swift 2 to 3, in preparation of going from 3 to 4, but got a ton of errors. I downloaded every version of Xcode since 8.0 to try and incrementally upgrade it, and it quickly fell apart. Is there an update schedule for their documentation? I hear Swift 5 is coming out, and I am sure 6 and 7 are not far behind. I'm not sure how people are supposed to figure this stuff out if the documentation is several versions out-of-date, I guess it is easier if you have a lot of experience.
This new forum layout is hard to use, is there a way to use the old layout? This "endless scroll" of messages looks like it was made for mobile devices, maybe there is a setting to tell it you are using a wide-screen and not a tall thin screen? I asked a question about using restartable methods to download Simulators in Xcode, but now I can't find it. Somewhere in the endless scroll, I guess.
