I’ve forked the repository and prepared a separate branch where
mDNSCore/DNSDigest.c is fully updated to an OpenSSL 3.6.0-derived implementation
(Apache-2.0 licensed), replacing the legacy pre-3.0 OpenSSL MD5 code and its
OpenSSL/SSLeay license block.

I haven’t opened a PR (PRs are restricted on this repo), but I can submit a PR for review if maintainers confirm that updating/replacing the MD5 implementation with Apache-2.0 provenance (OpenSSL 3.6.0) would be acceptable and give me corresponding permissions.
