The Xcode instruments app freezes every time it launches. How do I fix it?

Hi mahower,

This will usually happen if there are some issues with connecting to the devices. Do you have any network connected iOS devices around your machine?

This is happening to me but my device (iPhone) is connected with a USB cable. As soon as I start an instruments recording, I get the spinning wheel of death.
