iCloud login creds on simulator expires every day

Hi, i am developing an application that leverages iCloud and everything works fine in my testing except lately, maybe a week or two ago, on the Simultor i find myself having to re-authenticate (Apple ID Verification) in iCloud on the virtual device almost daily ... not sure why. Is this the expected behavior ? has anything changed lately ? even if i leave xcode (v11.5) and the simulator (v11.5 (921.9.1)) open, i am prompted to re-sign in with my Apple ID on the simulator

This is worth filing a feedback report along with the archive created by xcrun simctl diagnose with the affected simulator still booted. Especially if Erase Contents & Settings doesn't clear it up.

I thought i would re-engage on this thread since after the latest upgrade to Xcode12 and Simulator 12, the problem still persists and i am at a loss as to why... every 9-12 hrs, i have to re-authenticate my iCloud creds on the Simulator even when i leave Xcode/Simulator running overnight (i.e i don't quit). on my real device, everything is ok. any suggestions or ideas of why ?

I am experiencing the same thing even today on Xcode 12.5 (12E262) in every simulator instance - I am gathering the xcrun simctl diagnose output and will file a feedback.

I filed feedback FB9180720 and got a response:

Please know that our engineering team has determined that this issue behaves as intended based on the information provided. This is by design.

So it looks like this behavior won't ever change.

How is this expected behavior? My simulator says I have to accept new Terms and Conditions. Then I click on 'View Terms' and then nothing. In what world is this expected behavior?
