Xcode 11.x fails to download .xip

Hello,

I have to download Xcode 11.x for my job. The App Store only provides Xcode 12.x.

I am attempting to download Xcode 11.7 from the Apple Developer download portal.

After downloading about 880mb the download pauses and fails.

I know internet connection is not the problem.

Any recommendations appreciated as I have no clue on other ways to get Xcode 11.x.

I solved it by downloading from my Windows computer. No clue why the download failed to work on my Mac.
