Hello. Would a scanned Student ID card work as proof that I am a student, or do I need a class schedule or a similar document?

Yes, a student id is fine as long as it "clearly shows your name, the organization or school name, and the dates for which it is valid." Be sure to also submit the contact information of a member of your school's staff.
