Why is my macbook air 10x slower than it was randomly after overnight update?

I recently bought the mac mini so that I would be able to use multiple computers at once. However, literally the following day my MacBook air got extremely slow for no reason, I didn't drop it or anything. There may have been an overnight update. I have been using my MacBook with 2 monitors and 7 apps running smoothly for the past 4 years and now out of nowhere it got slow in a single day? Please help me out this is insanely frusterating and should never happen as I took such good care of my macbook.

For Reference: MacBook Air 2015 (image for details)

Have you any idea of which update occured ? Did you use at activity monitor to check who is using CPU ?

After an update, Spotlight may have to do major re-indexing?

I’m not sure which update it was, you can check the picture for the update number. The system holds 80 gb as well idk why it is but that’s way too much for a 128gb storage max. while my applications are 3 gb and only 3gb of documents as well. And my fan noise is super loud too.
