Hi,

I recently got a used macbook from my job for my job, and the storage is FILLED. I have no idea how to free up some storage (my system takes up 100gb). I tried updating it, but there is now way to do it since i dont have much storage left. Is there a way to deal with it without deleting apps and document that are important for my job?

How large is your disk ?
How much available ?
How much would you need.

Of course, you can do usual cleaning:

empty trash can
remove some apps (if possible)
have a look at iCloud.
remove attached files in mail.

But the core is system folder. Take care before suppressing anything. However, look here for a way to "clean" it: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7683120
