when I open simulator it open with the old code and doesn't refresh with the new code tried refreshing and tried quitting and opening again and tried restarting my mac but still didn't work

Did you recompile the app ? Otherwise, nothing changes in simulator.
Or do you speak of Preview instead of simulator ?
