Hello. So today I went to buy my brand new MacBook Air and it would not accept my password so after some phone calls I was told to erase the Macintosh HD data and did so and then reinstall the macOS Big Sur. Now the installation is stuck saying 6 hours and 37 minutes for over an hour. By the way I checked my internet and its speeds and they’re perfectly fine. I searched on the net that it should take around an hour. What can I do now?

Does it display that same message for one hour ? Then it is likely that installation has failed. In such a case, I would wait for one more hour and start again.
