Home screen bug with ios 16.1 beta on 13 pro max

same on my iPhone 11 Pro they need to fix it fast

i found the solution. Go to SETTINGS, then FOCUS. Choose the focus option you are currently using. then scroll down and under CUSTOMIZE SCREENS, tap on edit of the right image of the screen. then scroll down again and check the pages (from the 'Choose from Your Pages') you want displayed. Afterwhich, tap on Done. Go to your home screen and it should show you now all your screens with the apps. Hope this worked on your end, it did on mine.

Having this issue also on iPhone 14 Pro Max. It won't allow me to switch screens. I can click on search and drag it with that held and it does move but really fast, to fast to stop on a specific page.

Days later I’m starting to find the whole experience faster then looking for apps swipe down start typing app name press return very Linuxey 🤣 remove all Home Screen and apps and just use search canny bug

Same issue here, and another one is I can't swipe left or right at the home screen

problem has 100% gone dam I was enjoying just using search reset home a few times nothing over last few days picked phone up there and it’s back to normal

Same is true for me. Iphone X can’t swipe theough apps in folders.

I have same issues on iPhone 13 Pro 512

home screen not scrolling to right sometimes ... as well as folders not scrolling to right always ...

whatsapp can't send images ... crashes constantly (need to go to picture and share to whatsapp instead of from within the app)

worst bug ever suffered on a beta .... only being able to access apps through search sometimes ... frustrating .... always a beta tester ... now really questioning about next beta program whether to participate or not ... productivity with major impact ...

Not having the overlay issue with apps - but can’t switch screens or screens within folders randomly. If I reboot it works for a while, if I just wait it out - it starts working a while. Come on apple - fix this please!

I am not able to scroll or access my apps through the app library.

I have the same problem. For those who haven’t found a solution… it’s a bit of a struggle/workaround, but if you go to settings -> Home Screen and turn off:

‘ SEARCH: Show on Home Screen ’

You’ll find (if you go back to the actual home screen) the dots that shows on which page you are (On the bottom of the screen). From there you can scroll to the different pages. You can do the same in folders.

This issue was fixed on the Beta 2 released today.

This is a potential bug in iOS 16.1

I have been facing this issue on my iPhone 13 and have reported this using the Feedback application.

@apple should get this bug resolved at the earliest as it is creating alot of usability issues!

For the quick fix until the new update is pushed by apple, try making these changes in the device settings.

Go to settings > Home Screen

TURN OFF ** SEARCH: Show on Home Screen **

For those of you who still haven’t upgraded to the second beta, you can switch to a static single image wallpaper and the problem will be solved. At least it worked for me.

Production release 16.1, iPhone 13. Same problem with folder swipe - not working. Some apps won’t open from home screen, eg CNN app but there are others.

Same for me on 12 Pro Max. The workaround of swiping across the dots at the bottom of the folder seems to work though.

Having the same issues with apps shutting down as soon as I try to type or anything. Also having trouble removing the ios beta off of my phone. It will seem as if I removed it but when I look at my software it still says 16.1. Please fix this asap. This is annoying.

Same issue also phone turns off randomly when I play Apple Music. Super frustrated at this point…
