Hello everyone,
I am a junior developer and I would like to participate in the Swift Student Challenge this year. Because it is somehow not allowed to own a Developer account under the age of 18 in my country (said apple support a few years ago), I am registered under the name of my father. Am I still allowed/able to submit my app to the challenge?
Or does anyone of you know whether one can own a developer account under the age of 18?
- Yes, you need to be 18.
https://developer.apple.com/support/compare-memberships/
- And for submitting to the challenge:
Be 13 years of age or older in the United States, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction (for example, 16 years of age in the European Union);
- Then your guardian should request permission for you to submit
Legal guardians of developers under 13 years of age in the United States or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction (for example, under 16 years of age in the European Union) may request permission for their child to apply by sending an email to
swiftstudentchallenge@apple.com.
Permission may be granted at Apple's discretion.
