Hello fellow developers,
I'm facing a dilemma with Apple's review process and could really use some advice. My app keeps getting rejected because I haven't implemented Apple's in-app purchase (IAP) mechanism. I've tried explaining to them the reason behind this decision, but it seems like my concerns are falling on deaf ears. Let me provide you with some context.
The issue I'm facing is that the price points supported by Apple's IAP system are simply too low for my app. Some of the purchases I offer go beyond the maximum price threshold of $1000. Let me illustrate this challenge with a hypothetical example that captures the essence of my app's unique features without giving away the exact idea.
Consider an app called "Art Gallery Showcase." This app allows users to purchase exclusive exhibition spaces to showcase their artwork in prestigious physical galleries. These spaces are highly sought after and come with significant costs associated with renting the gallery, curating the exhibition, and promoting the artist's work. As you can imagine, the prices for these premium exhibition spaces can exceed the limitations of Apple's IAP system.
Despite my efforts to convey this information to the Apple Developer team, it seems that the focus on in-app purchases has hindered their understanding of the specific challenges my app faces. I feel like they're closing their eyes and ears to any alternative payment methods, making it difficult for me to move forward.
I'm reaching out to the developer community in hopes of finding guidance or advice on how to handle this situation. Has anyone encountered a similar issue and successfully resolved it? I would greatly appreciate any insights, suggestions, or experiences you can share.
I understand the importance of Apple's guidelines and regulations, and I'm committed to finding a solution that aligns with their requirements while still accommodating the unique nature of my app's offerings.
Thank you in advance for your support and assistance.
