We use a direct link mechanism in our app that attempts to open the app if it's already installed; otherwise, it redirects the user to the App Store. However, when the app is not installed, Safari displays an alert saying: "Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid." This popup appears to be caused by attempting to open a custom URL scheme that doesn't resolve.
